Our Terms and Conditions
Check in is at 4.00pm or after. We would appreciate it if you could let us know your estimated time of arrival, so we can be on site to meet you. Checkout is at midday.
To secure your required booking date, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of your booking is taken. This amount goes towards the total amount due for your stay, which is due 6 weeks before your booking date. For bookings made less than 6 weeks in advance the full amount is payable on booking. Your booking is not confirmed until the booking deposit is received in cleared funds. Acceptance of these terms and conditions is automatically assumed so we recommend you read them carefully before payment of the deposit. You will be sent a reminder when your balance is due. If this is not paid by the due date we reserve the right to charge your card directly.
Payments for bookings are non-refundable under any circumstances. If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your booking tell us immediately by telephone and then in writing and we will, without prejudice to our right to full payment, take reasonable steps to re-let the tent. If we manage to re-let the tent we will refund your money, less the deposit and a £50 administration charge.
Whilst every effort will be made to avoid them, booking errors made by Home Farm Glamping will not in any circumstances be compensated for unless there is less than 6 weeks until the date of your stay. If there is less than 6 weeks until your stay Home Farm Glamping’s liability will be limited to the return in full of any monies paid.
We strongly recommend that you take out travel and cancellation insurance.
The person booking, where they are booking on behalf of other people, is responsible for disseminating the appropriate information to those persons that we send them. For example, these Terms and Conditions, Tent details including directions, and on arrival, the Information Pack within each tent, to ensure they are fully aware of the nature of the campsite, Health and Safety issues, the wider woodland, the facilities, and appropriate any clothing and footwear they require.
A refundable damage deposit of £100 is required for each tent to cover any damage, breakages or cost of additional time spent cleaning where the venue is not left in a reasonable state or if, in our opinion, you have behaved in an unreasonable manner. The damage deposit will be refunded in full at the end of your stay unless any of the above have occurred. Should any member of staff have to intervene because of your unreasonable behaviour, £50 of the damage deposit will be retained for each call out. If you don't pay the damage deposit prior to your stay we reserve the right to charge your card directly for the amount.
Guests must be respectful to other guests on the site. Loud noise and nuisance will not be tolerated at any time and all noise must be kept to a minimum after 11pm. Guests who in our reasonable opinion are causing nuisance may be liable for loss of damage deposit money and/or be required to immediately leave the site.
Occupancy of a yurt must not exceed 5 people and occupancy of a bell tent must not exceed 4 people and we reserve the right to decline accommodation and/ or ask you to leave the site at any time if your numbers exceed this. The booking will then be deemed cancelled with full loss of payment.
In certain circumstances additional bed rolls can be arranged in a yurt, but only by prior agreement with the owners and payment of an additional fee.
Whilst we will always endeavour to put groups in tents close to each other and to allocate specifically requested tent positions, we are unable to guarantee this.
Please remember you are staying in a woodland camping environment with live animals and other hazards including the proximity of deep water. Some of the camp equipment can be dangerous if misused. The proprietor accepts no liability for any accident, injury, loss or damage sustained by any resident, their family, visitors, animals, vehicle or personal effects however caused.
Any damage or breakages which may occur must be paid for. Small accidental damages or breakages of a minor nature will not normally be charged but you are required to report all breakage and damage to the owners at the time or before you leave the camp.
Any complaints must be made known to us immediately. No complaints will be entertained at the end of the stay or after the guest has departed.
In extreme weather Home Farm Glamping reserves the right to close the venue. No refund will be given if the site is unable to open due to extreme weather and if we feel the venue has become unsafe but alternative dates will be offered for your payment to be set against.
Home Farm Glamping is predominantly designed to cater for adult groups rather than families and children. Family groups with children are welcome to come and stay but please let the owner know you are bringing children and their ages prior to your arrival to help allocate tents in a sensible way. Please also remember that, whilst we of course expect our guests to be respectful to others, there is no absolute noise curfew at night.
No pets are allowed on site due to the site being located on a working farm.
Home Farm Glamping accept no liability for any belongings left in the tents at any time. If you have valuable items that you wish to leave in a secure place please let us know and we will store these for you at your own risk.
Smoking is not permitted inside the tents or in the barn or shower blocks under any circumstances. Smoking outdoors is permitted but please collect any cigarette butts and dispose of them appropriately.
There is a private lake next to the glamping site, which guests may walk around at their own risk. The lake is managed and cared for by Tykes Water Angling Club and is strictly no swimming. No access is permitted to the lake after 8pm and anyone found by the lake after this time will have £50 of their damage deposit retained.
