We're so excited to be partnering with the fabulous Pause For Effect this summer.. See below for an example of the amazing experiences they have created for you at Home Farm Glamping.
During both world wars, Land girls were crucial to the running of the war effort. Strong, confident women who worked the land to keep our ancestors fed and the country running. Their camaraderie, ‘can-do’ attitude and abundant energy kept life on track.
This summer @ Home Farm Glamping, in partnership with Pause For Effect, we’ve re-created the opportunity to play ‘land girl’. To learn new skills. To grow as women. To walk away confident that you can turn your hand to anything. That if at first you don’t succeed, that’s absolutely bloomin’ fine. You just try again.
Because those land girls didn't start out equipped. They were mostly city folk arriving alone and unskilled. Nervous and incompetent.
But they rolled up their sleeves and jumped in. Together. Celebrating their failings and small wins in equal measure. Revelling in the fresh air, the laughter and the knowledge that they could achieve anything.
And now you can too! We've crafted the perfect combo of physical hard graft and 'you' time. We'll make sure you're well fuelled throughout your stay. Home cooked fare, nutritious and delicious. Eaten al fresco, come rain or shine. We’ve got the food, activities, entertainment and accommodation all covered from £250 per person.
Campfire chats. Star gazing. A sense of achievement. Memories that will live with you forever.
Time for you.
We want you to leave Home Farm as equally revitalised and alive, as reconnected and reset; mentally and physically. Feeling like a girl who can.
A land girl in the truest sense.
Let's get physical.
There’s a market garden to plan and build. Firewood to be sourced and chopped. Vintage tractor tyres to be changed. Dens to be built. Physical hard graft to make you feel alive and grateful for your comfy bed. You’ll be pleased to hear that we’ve upgraded the accommodation since the war!
Making time for you.
We’ve also made time for you to simply reset. Whether that’s by yourself or with the group, that’s for you to choose. Take a leisurely stroll through the woods, or around the lake. Pick up a book and retreat to the hammocks. Join in a pottery class or pick up a jigsaw. It's all set.
